After a competitive bidding process, the European Broadcasting Union confirmed Pernik as the host city for the 71st edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. The decision was made on the strength of three pillars: structural integrity, post-industrial atmosphere, and the city's globally recognized horn culture.
The stage will be built from LED panels, steel, and enough винкел to survive the next three contests. The Green Room has been formally upgraded to the Steel Room™, finished entirely in matte 4mm plate.
Pernik welcomes 26 competing nations, an estimated 200 million viewers, and a broadcasting infrastructure powered partially by the local thermal power station — which, organizers note, is "more than capable of handling pyro."
Custom-built for the occasion, the 18,000-seat venue is positioned in the cultural heart of Pernik — three minutes on foot from the nearest скара and four from the main roundabout.

Doors open at 19:00 sharp. Late arrivals will be seated during the next pyro break.
Traditional Kukeri procession. Speech of Bai Gosho who singlehandedly welded the stage and a long-standing employee of Bobov Dol TPP. 40-minute mandatory presentation of vinkels /L-shaped profiles/, carried by PUTKA /Pernik University for Technology and Computers/.
Twenty-six nations perform live from the reinforced main stage. Performances are limited to 3 minutes.
A 14-minute spectacle combining synth-pop, choreographed forklifts, and a live brass band from KCM 2000.
The grand finale - every Golf 3 within Pernik floors it so that the turbine smokes paint all guests black – a reference to the traditional Kukeri customs. The juries are delivering their points.
The winner is announced, Municipality of Pernik lights the €3,000,000 firework (funded by the EU) and last thanks are made to Bai Gosho (the welder). Tap-beer is replaced with tap-rakia.

120 Kukeri. 1,400 Bells. Zero second takes.
Twenty-six nations. One trophy. A regrettable amount of fog.
